As soon as we chatted with Rachel and Chris about their story, we knew we had to be the ones to tell it. It all started 14 years ago when they met in Tennessee. After parting ways to do that little thing called life, they rekindled in London and fell in love.

Rachel & Chris were sent our way from their photographer, and our good friend, Kate Anthony! They had told her that they wanted their wedding day to be filmed on Super 8 and asked if she knew anyone up to the task. Obviously – filming ON FILM is totally our jam!!!
So we set up a time to Skype with Rachel and Chris. At the time they were somewhere in Texas, I believe, in an RV (possibly an airstream??) traveling.
They told us their story, which is a real life fairy tale of fate if I’ve ever heard it.
Rachel and Chris met 14 years ago when Chris’s brother bought a farm near where Rachel lived. He started going to her parents church and they hit it off. But the timing wasn’t right and they both went their separate ways to pursue their own versions of life.
Rachel was accepted into a marathon in London and moved there for a short time. She met an Englishman and fell in love. She was planning to get her visa and move there permanently. After she returned to London in December after visiting home, she thought she would be engaged by Christmas. Instead, her then boyfriend broke up with her.
Chris on the other hand was working on restoring his 1960’s Land Rover. UPS had lost some parts he needed and he ended up in London to track down new parts and start an apprenticeship under a renowned transmission guy. He reached out to Rachel saying he would love see her and meet her boyfriend. This was the day after Rachel and her boyfriend had broken up. So she told Chris of her heartbreak, and they met up anyway and eventually went on an epic road trip around England with two of their friends.
Chris went off to continue his apprenticeship, but would check in on Rachel. Eventually, they started dating and fell in love in London.
As soon as we heard their story, we KNEW we had to have London in their wedding film some how. So, as a surprise we hired Gione Da Silva in the UK to go around to some of their favorite places and film some b-roll for us to use as the intro to their film. We are TERRIBLE SECRET KEEPERS!!!!! So this was SO HARD! But in the end it was so worth it.
Their wedding weekend started with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Rachel’s parents home in Franklin. They had originally planned to get married in November, but after a pre wedding vacation to Norway and Sweden, they found out they are pregnant!!! So they moved their date up to May. They did a gender reveal to their family at the rehearsal dinner and it was so fun to capture the joy and anticipation everyone has to meet baby Arthur Crimmins, Ace, for short!
It was the perfect spring day at Mint Springs Farm in Nashville, TN for a wedding! Cloudy, a little rain, but also a little sunshine made for the most beautiful footage.
The day went off with out a hitch and was absolutely perfect in every single way. We have known these two for such a short time but already know we gained two friends for the rest of our lives.
Rachels family planned a choreographed dance for the new Mr & Mrs Crimmins which was just EPIC. You’ll definitely need to watch it. The Land Rover Chris restored was their get away vehicle. The whole day was just riddled with reminders that these two were meant for each other and the universe made it happen.
So! After all of that, here’s their film which is pretty epic, in our humble opinion.
